Event Details

Why not book your free place on our online willow weaving workshop on Wednesday 21st April 2021 from 10am to 1pm.

Helena Golden, Willow Woman, will deliver a virtual workshop on the art of willow weaving. Following registration for the course you will receive DIY Willow packs to your home to be used during the the online zoom workshop.  All you need is access to Zoom and somewhere to soak the willow rods e.g. bath, water butt, nearby stream or river.  Prior to the workshop, you will receive instructions and support through email and text in relation to soaking/preparing your willow.

During the 3 hour workshop, you will weave your own vase or plant pot, and will learn about willow whilst having the opportunity to try a couple of different weaving styles.

Places are limited so don’t delay (10 places available).

If you would like to book a free place on the course, please contact Hazel Long, Heritage Project Manager by emailing hazel.long@rspb.org.uk.  Please include your name, postal address, email and mobile phone number.

This project is supported by funding from the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland and National Lottery Heritage Fund.
