National Tree Week provides the opportunity to celebrate tree planting that has been carried out throughout the year and to engage in some planting activities.
Unfortunately this year due to the current restrictions in place we haven’t been able to plant trees in the area. However we can celebrate the magnificent work that our partners and volunteers have carried out during the year. We have been able to plant over 350 trees in the Fermanagh region in 2020 including native Irish apple trees at 6 sites and over 300 native Irish woodland trees as part of one of our CEFF projects at Annagh Social Farm.
This is a fabulous achievement and we would like to say Thank You to everyone for their hard work throughout the year. We hope to increase the number of trees planted in 2021, if you or your community would like to get involved please contact Heather.gott@rspb.org.uk.
