National Lottery Heritage Fund – Funders Visit 2023
Two weeks ago we hosted our funders, National Lottery Heritage Fund Northern Ireland, as they visited Fermanagh to see snippets of the work that LELP has been up to this year!
Starting at the beautiful Crom Estate, we learned about the progress of the new National Trust Fermanagh pathway being created in partnership with LELP and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Local students from St Ronans PS Lisnaskea and the Moat Controlled Primary School engaged in demonstrations of the educational Young Amateur Naturalist Project; before watching live heritage skills demonstrations of Black Smithing and traditional cooking.
We took a trip with the fabulous team at Row The Erne, across the waters of Lough Erne.
Later in the evening we enjoyed a traditional Ceili and Storytelling Evening with the Aughakillymaude Community Association, hearing from lots of local storytellers and musicians – including the fantastic Seamas Mac Annaidh
