🌳🌳 National Tree Week 27th November to 5th December 2021 🌳🌳

This week is National Tree Week! Which is the UK’s largest annual tree celebration, marking the start of the winter tree planting season (which is November to March each year). Did you know there are more than 3 trillion trees on earth – that’s 422 times as many trees as people! National Tree Week is a great excuse to get outside and identify the trees close to your home. 🌞

Why not try out one of these fun tree based activities? 🀩
Leaf Prints: Trees and their falling leaves provide us scope for artistic activities, why not create some art using leaf prints. πŸŽ‰
Why do leaves change colour experiment: This simple science experiment shows the different levels of chlorophyll from different types of leaves. Make sure you pick leaves which have already fallen from the trees and pick a wide range of colours. πŸ§‘β€πŸ”¬

National Tree Week is supported by the Tree Council, visit their website to find out lots more about trees and how you can help: https://www.treecouncil.org.uk/
