We are currently offering an OCN Level 2 oral skills for storytelling (online) with Colette McCafferty (Travel & Tourism Associates) and Liz Weir (Irish Storyteller).
Oral skills in Storytelling:
The key training topics are researching and analysing stories for oral performance commentaries, developing and improving skills required to engage the audience and maintain interest. Delivery will include a mixture of demonstration, theory and practical activities. Sessions will be delivered using power points, exercises, best practice and discussion and participants will be afforded the opportunity to experience the work of well-established local storytellers. The programme will culminate in the candidates performing an oral story for an invited audience. If possible this will be delivered face-to-face at a venue(s) to suit in the local area. If virtual delivery is required, we can facilitate all sessions through zoom.
To apply click here. Please note those interested need to complete an Expression of Interest (EoI) form by Thursday 13th May 2021.
Further details on the course, date/times, EoI etc are available by emailing Hazel Long – hazel.long@rspb.org.uk.
