Sunshine and Trees initiative

We were delighted to be invited to Castle Saunderson International Scout Centre to plant trees with Belturbet Zero Waste, as part of their Sunshine and Trees initiative.

Our Communty Connections and Volunteer Manager, Ashley, planted a spindle tree (native to ireland and used by our ancestors for its medicinal properties) and a beech tree with help from Barry.

A fantastic initiative from Belturbet Zero Waste, with lots of enthusiasm for the conservation of the natural and built heritage of Lough Erne, which also runs through Co. Cavan.
