Written on . Posted in .

On Friday 15th September 2023, over 100 people gathered to celebrate the launch of ‘The Lisbellaw Woollen Mill’ written by Roland Eadie O.B.E, published with help from the Lough Erne Landscape Partnership through funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund Northern Ireland.

The community support was immense, with donated clothing and artifacts from members of the local public. Thank you to speakers Joe Crawford, who spoke of local history, Elaina Blampeid, who gave live wool spinning demonstrations, Selwyn Johnston of Headhunters Barber Shop & Railway Museum – Enniskillen, who spoke about the importance of the local railways and supplied an exhibition of local railway artifacts.

Thank you to Sinead of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council who supplied a sample exhibition of Lisbellaw Woollen Mill artifacts, in the run up to the new exhibition which is now displayed at Enniskillen Castle: Fermanagh County Museum between September and December 2023.
