“The Old Man and the Lake” By Pat Lunney – Devenish Dragons Storytelling Evening

Written on . Posted in .

On the 21st June, this Summer Solstice, we spent the evening listening to “The Old Man and the Lake”, curated stories by Pat Lunney of his time growing up along the shores of Lough Erne.

As part of the Devenish Dragons – Engaging with the Lough Project, 30 members of the local community arrived to the newly refurbished ‘Old Portora Boat House’ now known by the Devenish Dragons as Moonlight Bay. Locals listened to Pat’s charming stories while the sun from the longest day of the year danced and glistened along the surface of Lough Erne.

The evening ended with stories shared amongst the group, of their memories growing up alongside and exploring the Fermanagh Landscape – a truly wonderful an heartwarming event.
